Hollow Road Quiet Zone

The Hollow Road Quiet Zone Project includes the installation of four-quadrant gates at the railroad crossing, along with signage, pavement, signal warnings and all appurtenant improvements necessary to implement a quiet zone. The four-quadrant gates would block both the approaching and receiving lanes at the crossing to prevent drivers from going around the gates in an attempt to beat a train. Paperwork has been filed to implement the quiet zone.

The 4-quadrant gates are up. The quiet zone went into effect on August 4, 2020.
