Each voter should receive a sample ballot via mail from the Somerset County Board of Elections the week prior to the election. If you are unsure of your district number or polling location, please refer to this current Montgomery Voting District Map: Montgomery Township Voter District Map OR follow this link to a form from the New Jersey Division of Elections. Put in your address & county to find your polling place: Redistricting occurred in Montgomery in 2011. This was necessary due to population changes reflected in the 2010 Census. District and polling location information is now updated (see below links). Three new Districts were added in Montgomery (17, 18 & 19) and the physical extent of many of the other Districts have changed. Many voters will find they have been assigned to vote at a new polling location and/or assigned a new district number. Always check your Sample Ballot prior to going to the polls. Sample ballot should be received from the Somerset County Board of Elections the week of the election. -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- You must complete a New Jersey Voter Registration Application . These forms may be obtained
from the Division of Elections, Somerset County Board of Elections
Office, any Municipal Clerk’s office, or simply download
from link above.
-------------------------------------------------------------------------------- You may now vote by Mail-in Ballot for any election. A single messenger can only pick up 10 ballots statewide for an election and cannot be a candidate in that election. The address is:
The Somerset County Clerk cannot accept faxed copies
or electronic submissions, as an original signature is required. If you have applied for a Mail-In Ballot and have decided not to vote it and instead vote at the polls, you may now do so. However, you must vote by provisional ballot. The Mail-In Ballot application gives a voter the options of receiving a mail-in ballot automatically for all elections in remainder of a calendar year or for all future November general elections or just to vote by mail-in ballot this election. -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- VOTER INFORMATION & ADDRESS CHANGES If you change your name due to marriage, divorce,
or by judgment of the court, you may notify the Somerset County
Board of Elections in a written statement with an original signature
at least 21 days prior to the election. If you do not notify the
Board of Elections at least 21 days prior to the election, you will
be permitted to vote at the polls under your original registration
by signing both your registered name and your new name before voting.

to affiliate with a party when registering to vote. If you do not
choose a party, you will be classified as “UNAFFILIATED”.

in the voting machine. The person assisting may be someone of the
